Ångels

Got a treat today; a BBQ with James & Katy at a hangar on Boeing Field to watch the Blue Angels airshow (which is part of Seattle's SeaFair celebration every year). I can usually see them okay from home (hearing them is no problem XD), but it was nice to have the unobstructed view from the air field (even if the show wasn't directly over head, they pass by often enough to make it worth while).

Their support ship, commonly known as Fat Albert:

Nothing like a jet screaming by over head:

The only decent shot I could get with my slow camera:

All in all, a good time was had by all ^_^

Now though I'm really tired, as I had to get up 'early' for someone who hasn't had a lot of good sleep lately, so I'll be staying in tonight and crashing early =_= ...

¥ay~!

Lord what a long day, even with a nap in the middle of it.

As the day stretched on I began thinking my cat had run off for good. Finally though, not more then 15 mins ago, she returned in through the kitchen window (which is now closed).

Really though this whole day has just been depressing. I tried to keep myself distracted by exploring Garage Band on the new lap top, actually composed a few songs. Managed to sleep from about 1 to 3pm, and then woke up realizing I really missed talking with my cat, it was just too quiet. Day got hotter, composed songs started getting sadder, and lethargy settled in. My sister stopped by to offer sympathy and then ended up asking me if I was pregnant... which was just so off the wall I got pissed and now she's probably off getting drunk. Christ.

Feh, I'm just really really glad that Jazzy is back. I don't think I would have been able to get through the daily routines with out her company.

Thanks to everyone who helped wished her home ^_^

Photos from 1991 of me (with the blonde highlights) with friends in San Francisco the day we went to go see Sisters Of Mercy. Quite the fun day spent there in addition to the concert.

Sadly the two ladies with me above got into so much crazy lesbian drama I had to disassociate myself completely, which simultaneously killed any curiosity I had towards playing exclusively for that side of the field.

Høme

Last night was fun, at least until we left at closing time, when it seemed all the cabs went into hiding and we ended up wandering the streets arguing with each other about how best to get home and otherwise scaring the natives. Kinda sucky, didn't get into bed until 4:30am, and didn't fall asleep 'til an hour later. All only to get woke back up at 7:30am with news that the cat had escaped... and I've been up ever since.

To whit;

Living as I do in such a ghetto, of all the windows there's only one that has a screen. With the other windows we attempt to make do, especially the small one in the kitchen, which is where we duct taped a collapsable screen to the outside. Not perfect or nice looking, but it's serviceable. And since it's duct tape, every summer the tape needs to be replaced as it melts and dries up. That time came early this year as I noticed the screen starting to lean out yesterday, but at the time it was too hot to fix, so I thought to wait, to get it done in the pre-hotness of today.

The cat beat me to it.

I have no idea where she is right now, but I hope she comes home soon, as I can't stand the thought of losing my cat, no, not my 9-11 kitty, my best friend... damn it all to hell...

I wish I could go back to sleep.

®ipe

So I'm sitting here at the Pocket, having a RedRum and coke, listening to the juke box and random bar chatter... and it's awesome.

Lord though I woke up ripe. Three days of too busy and too hot to take a bath, ended by a night out at the Club -- woo~

Last night's drawing session went as well as expected, though really the model was trying too hard and ended up moving around alot, making it hard to get each pose down. And oddly, at the end of the session, I could swear she was trying to flirt with me O_o ... Afterwards though, since Mary decided to come to the session too we all ended up at the Club (nothing like 80's night :D ), 'twas fun (even if limited for bugetary reasons). Makes me wonder how James' 12-hour work day went today XD.

Forward ho~

Heh, well buzzComix WAS back up... now it's just the forum. Somethin's up, no idea what...

Inking on the next page went well today. Lately I've been able to finish early and even get a head start on shading (starting with the backgrounds). Also today I was able to mess around with an Eve wallpaper I've been meaning to do. A vote bonus preview of one version will be available with tomorrow's update :D

Also this evening I took time to scan in everything from my sketchbook (misc stuff and drawing session sketches) that I'll soon add to the scraps on my devArt account. Speaking of devArt there's some kind of rucus going on over there with a lot of regulars leaving or posting less. I have no idea what's going on but I guess it has something to do with disagreements to new policies or some such. I don't see it affecting me much though (at least not until I know more about what's going on), so yeah, foward ho~

Good lord I've been working all day!

Ωee

Spent a long day sketching and penciling the next BadBlood page... took 'til 8pm instead of the usual 6pm -- still though it's gonna be a nice page XD (hope I can get a vote bonus done though...).

Now I'm just tired and sore, and well, damn... the usual XP

Hey though, I have some good news -- I just saved a bunch of -- er, I mean... buzzComix is back :D (vote button already up on the BadBlood site, because like I'm pathetic like that :D ) ~!

This pic was taken some time around early spring 1991, when my Aunt Sharon had stopped by for a visit while moving from Shastina down to L. A.. Her son, my cousin Clint, had been accepted into UCLA and she decided to get divorced and move down there with him (her sister and my other Aunt, Sandy, and her family also lived down there). Clint later went on to earn a Masters degree, to teach golf... O_o

Auntie Liriel

Hmph, ended up just watching TV, suffering in the heat (bleh), and looking through the old photos again, making notes.

~~~~
It wasn't easy being an aunt. Especially when I didn't get along with my sister as it was, and didn't like her husband (especially his family), it was just all so... unfortunate. And it still is.
At any rate, jut a couple of pics that were demanded of me (can't you tell how happy I am?).
(1991)
Such a fun little tyke, always all over the place, into everything, and only ever really happy while traveling in the back seat of the car on road trips. By now I bet he's got a learner's permit...
Catching up
Well I got to hang out and chill at the Pocket last night, though I wasn't very social since I was trying to wade through 2 months worth of webcomic reading which was made far more interesting by the fact that I wasn't drinking fast enough and my ass hurt from the uncomfortable chair... and I didn't even get to chain smoke XD ! Once I was done though I became a veritable talking social machine -- they couldn't shut me up!
Got to meet a new fella, one of my husband's co-workers last night, seemed a nice enough fellow if a bit of a prankster (as I hear it... literally while I was in the bathroom and Craig hollering "Don't touch that laptop, my wife will kill you man. Seriously.") Not that I didn't deserve messing with since I didn't get to really hang out until after two people (Ryan and Travis) had already left. Blah, blah, blah... Still was a nice enough time though.
Uhm.... yeah and that's pretty much it. I think today... today I will... hmmm... find something to do.... >_>
