Free time spent... wisely?

Spent most of all Friday 'getting away from it all' and playing through the historical campaigns of Star Wars Battle Front... so very unlike me, as I usually can't get into video games at all...

And yet... it was very relaxing.... and -- and enjoyable!

It's kinda funny about that phrase, last night at Travis' birthday party one of his more sober friends agreed with me on why the hell would you want Satan behind you -- where you can't see him?!

Didn't stay too horribly late for that party, as Jack and Thomas had picked me up for it, and Jack wanted to have energy for the Black Light Martini Party that's tonight. Same here frankly. And while it WAS Travis' birthday party I only knew less then half of the people there (the rest were all J's friends -- party animals the lot of them >_< !) and so it was a wee bit strange... Glad my other friends hadn't gone actually, would have been kind of... embarassing... >_>

Suits are on their way back from the dry cleaners, green olives are on the stove, and later will be the vodka run... oh yes, the Black Light Martini Party -- should be a blast!

Stress is...

...not being able to remember dreams upon waking. It's become an annoyance, because upon waking I'm immediately thinking over unfinished buiness from the night before, almost as if I was never asleep in the first place.

Wednesday morning I was brushed by remembering a dream, but only because a sudden loud noise from outside had woken me up, but then the noise immediately got incorporated into the dream and the original dream and it's content was gone, forever lost.

To me dreams are very important, containing messages of great importance from the subconsious mind, and I usually have great and fanstastic dreams loaded with meaning... but lately that communication has been cut off from me and I think it's affecting my creativity. In other words... I need a vacation.

But I'm not going to get one, at least for a long while yet. I must continue with the regular comic updates and now include working on getting issue #2 ready for print (it MUST be ready by August), and so my schedule is about to tighten up a lot like it had been during the prep-work for issue #1 (though I had thought I'd get started earlier than this on #2, but I should know by now the only way I get anything done is in the heat of panic...).

Yeah so, wee~ for stress XD

Masks Of God

I really want that series of books by Joseph Campbell... right now I only have his Hero of a Thousand Faces and the Mythic Image book. Both are excellent... frankly he was a great writer, thinker, and continues to be a huge inspiration to me.

Speaking of masks, I've got this "Freeman ® Beautiful SKIN Cucumber and Ginseng Peel Off Masque" on right now... it's shrinking!... my face... so tight! Augh! *head implodes*

Ah okay, just kidding. But if you'll excuse me I have to go peel my face off now XD
